Hot desks are a relatively recent phenomenon allowing you to hire a desk/workspace within a business centre with telephone and internet access on a short term basis.

Also called “touchdown” space, hot desks are particularly useful when you need a working base away from home.

Business centres will often hire out “hot desks” to users on a first come, first served basis and, depending on their pricing structure, rent out workspace on an hourly, half day, or daily basis, or as block “packages” of a set number of hours
